“Dr. Jung dong hak”
He entered a technical high school located in Seoul, to which he earned an art scholarship as I won prizes at many art contests.
The other 7 art talents, who were in his school, got into collleges of fine arts and got to have jobs in their field of expertise.
He thought rhinoplasty is a field of fine arts in a broad sense.
The 3-year training in his high school has been of help to him.
He believed the aesthetic sense can not be developed in the medical school.
After graduating from the high school, he entered a steel company (POSCO) with which he had been for 8 years as a technical engineer.
He studied whenever time allowed from work, and as a result entered a medical school (Yonsei University) after retirement.
After one-year internship, He chose the way to otolaryngologist, especially rhinologist.
After being a specialist, He completed various courses of rhinoplasty in USA and had a PhD in rhinoplasty.
“I did my first rhinoplasty when I was a third-year resident and since then i have been doing it for 20 years.
A deep knowledge of nasal structure and function helps me to get it all together.”
Dr. Jung Dong Hak said,
Once I am determined, I never give up. I have gone out of my way to be the best in rhinoplasty.
And it was to overcome the low awareness of otolaryngology. Of course, efforts alone do not make something.
Those on when i did surgeries spread the word, and so large number of patients have had surgeries by me for the last 20 years.
I think my telent from my parents, knowledge about otolaryngology and experience with surgeries begin to come to fruition.
In addition, I have pulished about 50 treatises on rhinoplasty in journals in many countries.
And i have participated in scholastic related to beauty treatment 6 to 7 times every year and have presented papers.
I have written books on rhinoplasty or taken part in writing of 11 books.
In particular, the book “Rhinoplasty in Seoul” was translated into Chinese and English version.
My 6 papaers were published in the journal ‘Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery’.
Moreover, I took a part in the writing of the book ‘Cosmetic Surgery of the Asian Face’ published in USA.
I gave demonstrations of rhinoplasty in many university hospitals and general hospitals in Korea.
I have held rhinoplasty workshops for plastic surgeons for 14 years.
As for outside activities, i was in the first chair of Korean Society of Aesthetic Surgery and assumed the presidency of Asian Society of Asian Cosmetic Surgery (ASACS) in 2006.
I hold two patents for rhinoplastic instruments and localized the set in concert with a company.
Solgo Life & Science. Currently, its price is about one-fifth of imports’s prices.
By using the instrument, operators can easily insert soft materials such as Goretex and Cartilages
The best thing is to get the full 10 points in plastic surgeries, but the next best thing is to score 9 with the ensurement of safety.
