A nasal fracture is commonly called to as a broken nose.
There is several reason that occurs a broken nose.
For example, fight, trauma during sport, falls, and motor vehicle collision etc.
When people hit in face, they usually use their right hand. Therefore, Nasal fractures tends to bends to the right side.
In this case, Not only the nasal bone is broken, but also the nasal septum can be broken.
If nasal bone is bent, it can recovered by re-positioning of nasal bone using local anesthesia.
However, In case of the nose collapsed. Nasal septum can be fractured, and Keystone area also can be separated.
In this case rhinoplasty is needed.
When conduct nose job, surgeon should check a degree of the fracture, nasal septum, original shape of nose and desired shape etc.
