Today, we are going to show a case of short nose (upturned nose) rhinoplasty.
The ideal ratio of nose is 1/3 in whole face.
The ideal angle from nasal tip to upper lips is 90 ~ 100 degree.
But if ratio of nose is under 1/3, and the angle is over 100 degree, can say nose is short.
This short nose or upturned nose can corrected to the ideal shape by rhinoplasty.
This woman had a short nose. And can see her nostrils from frontal view.
Her nasal tip was short too.
To correct her short (upturned) nose, Dr. Cho Bae-Jung used donated rib cartilage for her nasal tip. And Dr. Cho made her nasal line natural, from bridge to tip, using dermis.
Notice: In a case of short nose, nasal septum cartilage also can be short or weak. In this situation, it is not a good idea to harvesting them for nasal tip plasty. (Dr. Cho Bae-Jung)
