Nasal columella is the lower part of the nasal septum. This nasal septum links the nasal tip to the nasal base, and separates the nasal hole.

From the frontal facial view, if this columella is protruding to downward, it called a hanging columella. And it can causes the nose look longer and imparts an aged facial appearance.

The surgical methods is vary from patient to patient.

Usually do removal of the caudal septum or in a case of revision, can do removal inserted cartilage. And also can do nasal alar resection.

It depends on how much the columella show.

As you can see, her columella was too long, and exaggerated showing.

She did not like her nose in a cosmetic reason.

After the correction with rhinoplasty, her nose has changed to normal length. And her facial shape also has changed to better.
