Today, I am going to show “correcting the short nose with revision rhinoplasty” with before & after photos. (Conducted by Dr. Jin Hong Ryul)
This patient was complaining about short nasal tip, low nasal radix, and asymmetric nostril after multiple failed rhinoplasty.
To finish her problem of concerning nasal shape, she decided to do revision rhinoplasty with Dr. Jin Hong Ryul
Dr. Jin made her nasal dorsum using Conchal cartilage and folded temporalis fascia.
And corrected her nasal tip asymmetry.
After her short nose revision rhinoplasty, her dorsum moderately elevated, and improved nostril asymmetry, and decreased upturned tip.
There is many different reasons to being nasal shortening after nose surgery.
Multiple surgery, Nasal infection, tip cartilage resorption, and Nasal contraction etc.
In some cases, it is not a good idea to use artificial material. (like silicone implant)
It is better to use autologous material. like, Rib cartilage, Conchal cartilage etc.
To know your specific surgical methods, needs to analyze your nose condition in details with professional surgeon.
