Top Choice for Rhinoplasty in Korea
“Around late 2018, I decided to research and pursue undergoing rhinoplasty to address my main nose concerns: hump, bone deviation, deviated septum, and more.
I’m a Korean-American female in my late 20s and currently live in the US.
I did my due diligence and decided to travel to Korea to have my rhinoplasty performed by Dr. Jin Hong-Ryul
On paper, he has the credentials, reputation, and safety track record that met my requirements.
In-person, I was impressed with his assessment of my features and his realistic and firm expectations for my result.
Dr. Jin speaks fluent English which made the consultation frictionless and easy to understand.
He clearly listed the procedures that would be done and I had my pre-op tests done in a medical testing clinic in the same building.
When I returned the next day for my operation, we had a second consultation to confirm everything that will be done.
I appreciated how Dr. Jin handled my many questions throughout this process and he was always transparent and pragmatic.
The clinic has a comfortable private recovery room and after my procedure, I recovered for several hours there before I left.
I really have to commend his support staff, especially his head nurse who checked in on me and helped manage some of the post GA side effects I experienced.
Everyone on his staff is professional and compassionate, even with the language barrier.
My post-op care included a course of prescription medication including antibiotics and painkillers, and I returned to the clinic several times to be checked by Dr. Jin.
Cast removal was on Day 7 and I returned several times after that, including the day before my flight home, to be personally checked by Dr. Jin on my recovery.
As for my results, I’m very satisfied with what Dr. Jin achieved with my nose. It is definitely the ‘my nose but better’ natural result I wanted.
Without the hump and the bone deviation, I am happier with seeing myself from the profile and the front. It looks balanced and harmonizes with my face.
I’m still in the early stages of recovery, but as far as the major things I wanted to fix, I’m impressed and glad I went with Dr. Jin.
After listing all my considerations of safety, cost, material (no foreign materials for me), and aesthetics, he was overwhelmingly the only choice to go with.
Additionally, Dr. Jin also performed an otoplasty in conjunction with my rhinoplasty to correct one ear that stuck out.
It was something that has subconsciously bothered me cosmetically, but I didn’t even know it was fixable. It came up during my consultation and ultimately I’m glad I chose to do it as the difference it made in facial harmony was significant.”
