Ear cartilage for rhinoplasty is taken from inner ear.
It is commonly used for nasal tip and also used to support nasal tip.
Ear cartilage, much like nasal septum cartilage, is not absorbable and stable without problems like infection and rejection reaction.
It is also scare, so it may not be enough when used alone.
It is uncommon, but it may cause deformation in ear if surgeon is not skilled.
